Upper Teesdale Valley sits at the heart of walking country, with the Northern Dales rippling out across open moorland and stone-walled valleys. Yarker Lane Cottage occupies this landscape as a converted barn, substantially larger than typical holiday cottages, with space for up to six people and a private garden enclosed by lawns and patio. A pub lies 600 yards down the lane; a shop is two miles away.
The ground floor holds a living room with Freeview TV and a kitchen/dining room equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and washing machine all present. Upstairs are three bedrooms: two doubles and one with single beds. The bathroom has a bath with shower over. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included. The cottage retains exposed stone walls and Velux windows in the bedrooms, combining period character with modern comfort. Two cars can park on site.
The enclosed garden has a bench and barbecue. Walkers will find this a solid base for exploring the valley; those who prefer a quieter evening can reach the local pub on foot. No smoking is permitted inside.
