Walking through Darnhay Cottage, you step into a single-storey layout where the living, dining and kitchen areas flow together without internal walls. The main living space centres on a wood burner, with a 55-inch television, DVDs and films already there. Two bedrooms branch off—one with a double bed, the other with two singles—each with its own ensuite shower room. A separate family bathroom provides additional facilities. The kitchen comes equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are provided, along with initial logs for the burner and parking on site.

The cottage sits on a quiet country lane in Ayrshire, with a garden, patio and outdoor furniture for sitting out. Mauchline is 2¾ miles away, where you'll find shops, pubs and restaurants. For walks, the River Ayr Way—over 40 miles of trails through varied landscape—lies within reach. The Ayrshire Coastal Path, stretching more than 100 miles, is also accessible. Castles, country parks and golf courses are scattered across the region; Glasgow lies 45 minutes' drive south, Edinburgh about 90 minutes. The beach is 12 miles away. No smoking throughout the property.
