Stable Cottage
East Ayrshire
Stable Cottage suits couples after a quiet break, small families, or friends sharing—one bedroom with a double bed, plus a sofa that sleeps two more. Everything unfolds on the ground floor: an open-plan living and dining space with a 60-inch TV, a kitchen equipped for proper cooking, and a bathroom with a bath and shower. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi come as standard. A travel cot and highchair are available if you need them.
The real draw is the private hot tub for four, set in a large enclosed garden with patio and barbecue. You get your own parking for two cars and space to bring one dog at no extra cost; the welcome pack includes treats for them. Fishing is possible on-site (your licence required). The cottage occupies a peaceful riverside spot a mile from Stewarton, where independent shops, cafés and pubs are within walking distance—one welcomes dogs. The Ayrshire coast lies eight miles away, with a 100-mile coastal path, beaches and villages to explore. Inland, there is cycling, castle visits, golf and activity parks; ferries from nearby ports reach Arran, Bute, Cumbrae and the Cowal Peninsula, opening routes to Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. Glasgow and Edinburgh are day-trip distance. Smoking is not permitted inside.
