Stargazer is a two-bedroom cottage on a working farm in the Otter Valley foothills, with countryside stretching out across the view. The ground floor holds a twin bedroom, shower room, kitchen with electric cooker and dishwasher, and a living space that opens onto decking overlooking the garden. Upstairs is a double bedroom and a bathroom with a roll-top bath. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are provided. One well-behaved dog stays free.
The back garden has decking and furniture, with steps down to further grounds—note there are 6 steps here and an unfenced carp lake on the farm, which other guests also have access to. The property draws water from a spring. Parking is in a shared area on site. This is a rural setting with grazing horses and sheep, farm dogs and cats, and regular deer sightings; numerous footpaths leave from nearby.
The villages of Rawridge and Uppottery lie within walking distance. The Jurassic Coast and beaches are accessible from here, as is the wider Blackdown Hills landscape. No smoking indoors.

Beautiful well equipped cottage beds comfortable and living accommodation. Beautiful views across the valley looking over at geese ducks deer horses sheep and the sounds of birds along with the Cockerell. Julie was a lovely host who left eggs and milk on our arrival .well equipped for elderly relatives and disabled facilities with easy access. Thank you for accomadating us the salter family .

We had the most fabulous stay in this beautiful part of Devon. Julie our hostess was so lovely and helpful with recommendations for places to visit and eat. Julie also left us some welcome goodies including milk, baking and home reared eggs. The cottage was scrupulously clean and well appointed. The views from the south facing balcony over the valley are just stunning!! Special mention too for how accessible the cottage was for my Dad whom uses a wheelchair. The bathroom has grab rails, fold down shower seat, and non slip flooring; put simply this is the best accessible bathroom we have seen on our travels. There are so many beautiful footpaths and bridleways to explore too around the cottage. We would definitely stay again! 👍👍🥰🥰

Just love primrose cottages, Julie goes that extra mile. Home-made cake and eggs from her own chickens await... that and the most stunning Devon countryside. The cottage was clean and well appointed. Will definitely be back. Visit Sidmouth too whilst you are here. Beautiful......

Stargazer Cottage which is part of Primrose Cottages, Upottery is Home from Home. We've been staying at this beautiful Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage with stunning views for over 6 years. The Decor is immaculate and everywhere is spotlessly clean. My Husband & I love the fact that Julie & Family make us so welcome. We enjoy the peace and quiet...together with an ideal base so as to visit various parts of Devon & Dorset. We've already booked for next year and cannot wait to return!
