About Cool K9
Set near Sherburn in North Yorkshire, Cool K9 is a small, adults-only site that's earned a strong reputation among campers who value peace and simplicity. Electric hook-ups, showers, toilets and WiFi keep things comfortable, while the welcome policy on campfires adds a proper outdoor feel to evenings under canvas. Dogs are very much part of the picture here, making it a natural choice for anyone travelling with four-legged company.
The site works well as a straightforward base for exploring the North York Moors and the market towns scattered across this corner of Yorkshire. It's not flashy, but the warmth of the welcome and the easygoing atmosphere make it somewhere campers return to.

What visitors say
Spontaneous two nights here and wow what a find! Paula the owner was so lovely, very accommodating (car camping) the site is a dog heaven! Everything is set up for dogs to have freedom and fun. Very secure, your dog can just play out all day with the other dog friends they make. Shower and toilet facilities, wash up kitchen facilities and lovely cafe selling brews and cakes. Great location for exploring the area also. Definitely will stay again. Mark&Stacey

Visited earlier this month. Maybe wouldn't visit again as thought in June it would be very busy but only 4 units on such a large field. Visited due to having a dog but she wasnt interested in the agility course. I was so disappointed in her. She loved the little beck as she loves water. The amenities are very clean. The areas where you open the gates needs updating as gates get stuck in the ridges so something can be done there. Just no atmosphere. Got told by another camper to turn off music and it was so low in volume as we sat with some other campers and they were doing karaoke but so quiet but she complained to us twice and it wasn't harming her or the other campervan there. She just didn't want us enjoying ourselves obviously . If we were causing noise the other campers would of agreed but they didnt. Seeings there isn't any site just for dogs anywhere as far as I know it should be really busy. As we are on a yorkshire tour and booked into 6 different sites and we are now on site 4 and all other sites are very busy. Maybe you should advertise more. When we were leaving the owner knew we had an hour window before we could get onto our next site and never offered for us to stay (with site being empty) so a member of the staff was very friendly and helped us out by guiding and telling us where we can park up on our route for a coffee break. So thank-you for his help. We thought the electricity was included in the overall price but the owner came round with a clipboard charging for the electric we used. I have to warn other campers thinking of staying here it is only 6amp which is very very low. So be careful what electric you are using at the same time or else it will trip. We have a power bank which is very useful for a low voltage site. Don't think we will stay again due to our dog not interested in the agility area. I do think that some of the apparatus needs re-newing as very old and needs sturdier balls in ball pool as soon as a dog catches ball in their mouth it just crushes. Sorry but not for us anytime soon.

This place is utterly amazing, by far the best site I have ever stayed on with our 3 dogs. There's a HUGE Agility course, a beautiful stream with picnic benches for the dogs to splash through, and a cafe where the dogs are welcome. Dogs are off lead the whole time, which is just amazing, it's was pure dog heaven. The owner is lovely and welcoming and looked after us so well along with her beautiful dog 🐕 (the site boss) The concept of this site is rare and just incredible. Pitches are huge, and EHU is available. Showers, pot washing & dog washing room on site. We will be returning.... often!

Arrived on Monday and we were Warmly greeted by Paula and her dogs. We have had an absolute blast from start to finish. The site is spacious and dogs can roam freely. A large activity area for the dogs to exercise and a stream for them to play. The showers are amazing. Warm and powerful and kept really clean. We will definitely be returning.
