East Lindsey

Meadow Lodge is a ground-floor retreat for two, set in the hamlet of Ailby about two miles from Alford. The single bedroom contains a double bed, and there's a shower room with heated towel rail. An open-plan living space combines a sitting area with a dining kitchen, where an electric hob, microwave, air fryer and full-size fridge mean you can prepare proper meals. Freeview TV, wifi, heating and parking for two cars are all included; essentials like bed linen and towels are provided too.

A pond bordered by trees sits just outside, drawing birds and other wildlife—enough to watch from the lodge itself. The Lincolnshire Wolds start on the doorstep, with woodland walks, a converted railway line (historically used by the Flying Scotsman) and cycling routes through open countryside all within reach. Alford, a proper market town, has pubs, shops and a weekly market two miles away, along with a Grade 1 listed windmill and the Manor House gardens if you want to venture out. The lodge is entirely yours for the duration of your stay, and does not permit smoking.
