Lily Pad Lodge is a semi-detached cottage on the edge of Market Rasen, sleeping four across two king-size bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own en-suite—one with a bath and shower, one with a shower cubicle—plus there's a ground-floor wet room, so three bathrooms in total. The main living space is open plan with a wood burner, French doors opening onto a private enclosed garden with patio and furniture, and a four-person hot tub. A second sitting room without a TV offers quieter space if needed.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric range, dishwasher and all the basics. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, along with logs for the burner. One small or medium dog is welcome. You get private parking for four cars and the whole property to yourself. The grounds are shared with the owner and one other cottage on-site, and there is a lake 25 yards away. Check-in is after 16:00 and checkout before 10:00. No smoking inside.

Booked for a week stay and was not dissapointed. Great location for days out to various different places. Not far from supermarkets either. Everything is well kept and clean. The living area is spacious and cosy all at once. If I could suggest a couple of points to improve it would be the addition of a nespresso machine (I missed my daily lungo) and more light over the dining table (would be nice to use the space on the evening for games, lego, puzzles etc) Honestly minimal issues. Overall would recommend.

If you’ve read the one star review posted previously and unsure about whether to stay here or not, don’t hesitate and get booked up. Myself and partner have stayed at this property six times and I chose Lily Pad Lodge to spend my 50th Birthday weekend here. I just love the feel of the place and the surroundings. Lisa and Tim with help from my partner had decorated the house prior to our arrival and unbeknown to me, friends and family turned up and were staying in the two adjourning properties. The hot tub overlooking the lake was heavenly and the property as always was well maintained and turned out. It’s in a great location and private but accessible for lots of attractions. We booked in for a meal at the Black Horse in Donnington in Bain which was really nice and well catered for a table of 12. Service and food was great. We will be back again in 2026 for another fab stay at Lily Pad Lodge. Thanks for so many great memories.

Absolutely stunning place! Cannot fault a single thing about it! We arrived during a storm, owners was out to welcome us in, talk us through the place. Inside is furnished to a really high standard. The local area is gorgeous, the walk to the local village is nice, the pub there is really nice. We spent the last evening star gazing in the hot tub and saw several shooting stars while listening to the owls. Perfect relaxation. Already looking forward to returning.

We have just returned from a long weekend away at Lily pad Lodge. Owners were welcoming and left us a little welcome gift which was lovely. The lodge itself was gorgeous warm and cosy. We instantly felt relaxed and at home. The garden area is beautiful! I can only imagine how amazing it is in the summer! And the BED! It was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on!! I even took a picture of the make. I felt like we had everything we needed appliance wise in the kitchen. The owners kindly left tea, coffee and sugar. There was a few sachets of milk for emergencies. I would say, if you plan to cook to make sure you take cooking oil as we had to go back out to purchase some as we didn’t want to damage their pans. There is a dishwasher, but I would have liked some washing up liquid for the pans or little bits here and there. The closet shop was about 15? Minutes away along with pubs and takeaways. The only reasons for less of a star are: (1) The bathroom towels were too small, it would have been nice to have bath towels to cover our bodies. (2) There was a slight sewage smell from upstairs bathrooms (3) There is a rug at the top of the stairs that is too big for the area and we kept tripping on as it gathered up very easy. (5) The hot tub isn’t really private. This can be viewed by the owners and if there are other guests in the other lodge. Not a huge deal though because if it was made completely private you wouldn’t be able to get the lovely views. It was so relaxing and warm. The other things are an easy fix if desired. We had an amazing time for our birthdays! I took some lovely photos and posted on my socials ! I had so many messages from people saying how lovely it was and asked for details, which I was happy to share! We will be back!!! Hopefully with some friends and family in the summer and maybe again for our birthdays! Thank you for an amazing stay!
