Five miles inland from Skegness, this converted barn sits within extensive grounds near Burgh le Marsh. Jockhedge - The Barn is a standalone property on a larger site, giving you privacy while the surrounding countryside provides quiet walking and a slower pace than the seafront. The coast itself is close enough for a day trip; the flat terrain around here suits families wanting both beach time and village calm.
Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living area with a gas fire and Freeview TV flows into the kitchen, where you can cook proper meals with an electric oven and hob. Bedroom one has a zip-and-link bed that can be configured as a double or singles; bedroom two holds a single plus a pull-out single. The shower room is compact and functional. Essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are all provided, along with fuel for the fire. One dog is welcome. You have private parking for two cars, and there are shared grounds with garden furniture, though note there is an unfenced lake on the property.
The cottage suits couples, small families, or friends wanting their own space without the fuss of a larger house. No smoking is permitted inside.

Dirty cottage, cheap and nasty furniture, not worth the price at all. Tried to raise the issues and was met with contempt, clearly has a superiority complex. Avoid

We had the most fantastic week at the rose cottage. Accommodation was beautiful and well maintained. The hot tub is such a nice bonus. The host Liam was the best host we could’ve asked for, so welcoming and adaptable to our needs. Thank you Liam !

Pompous and rude owner. acts like the hotel is a luxury farmhouse in the cotswolds but in reality is an overpriced, ‘live laugh love-esque’ hotel in skegness of all places. Terrible.

We came for 2nd year with our caravan. We loved it last year and same again this year. It's a beautiful site and so peace. Lots and lots of wildlife around. Lovely shower blocks and lovely Jill in the reception who is very friendly and helpful. We are in love with this site and definitely visit again. Thank you 😊
