About Sycamore Lakes Touring Site

A spacious 30-acre site wrapped around five fishing lakes, Sycamore Lakes sits just 10 minutes from Skegness but feels genuinely rural. The well-stocked lakes draw anglers of all abilities, while hundreds of mature trees and landscaped grounds make for excellent dog walks around the perimeter or out to Burgh le Marsh village – reachable on foot in under 20 minutes via a back-field footpath. The village has a heritage windmill, bakery, butchers and a handful of pubs, so you can easily stock up without the car.

On site, spotless shower blocks and clean, comfortable lodges earn consistent praise, as does the polite, knowledgeable staff. The Lakes Restaurant is popular enough with locals to get busy, serving both campers and day visitors. Hourly buses run from just outside the gates if you fancy a bucket-and-spade afternoon, and Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is 20 minutes by car. Five golf courses cluster nearby, and the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds – with its pretty villages and long-distance trails – is only five minutes down the road.

Been to this camp site for the last 6 years, but this year will unfortunately be the last. The new owners have in my view don't want tourers there. Fit electric meters by all means stop high usage electrical appliances being used, probably not the first thing I would have done. Sort out the laundry issues first, they weren't working last year, sort fisherman's parking so access roads are kept clear, get rid or discourage the Canadian geese from breeding on the island's. The amount of goose droppings around the site is horrendously bad, these birds carry more diseases than you realise and they will dominant all other UK species of water foul. Fishing is great but prices are rather expensive for those staying on site when other waters a short drive away are cheaper, Really have enjoyed this site and made friends here, but time to find somewhere different in the area.

Camping for 4 days. Used new top up card for electric hook up . Had £14 left on it when checking out, reception said that you don't get your money back from card . The campsite keep it , not happy this is theft and I am not a happy customer. There is no information anywhere about the top up card. Be careful just put on a small amount and keep going back to top up. They close at 5pm . Not happy

We’ve just come back from a 3 day stay on one of the tenting pitches. There were 8 of us all together, with 2 tents. The pitches were great. Showers and toilets clean. The on-site Restaurant was lovely and the staff really friendly and accommodating. Receptionist was really helpful too. Fishing was perfect and allowed us to let our children fish. Would definitely recommend, and we will be coming again!

A lovely clean campsite apart from the showers. There was mud and grass on the cubicle floor and no mop or squeegee to clean. Location is great.
