Alford sits within easy reach of the Lincolnshire coast—Skegness and its amusement parks lie 8 or 9 miles away, while quieter stretches of beach are closer still. Inland, the Wolds offer walking country, and the market towns of Louth and Horncastle are worth exploring. Cadwell Park racetrack is nearby for those interested in motorsport, and Lincoln's cathedral and castle make for a substantial day trip. A pub stands 2 miles from the door.

Oxley Cottage is a converted farm building set on working land. The single bedroom holds a kingsize bed and has an ensuite with walk-in shower. An open-plan living space doubles as kitchen and dining area, with a Smart TV, electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. The whole property is ground-floor and yours alone. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included; parking for one car is on site.

The real draw is outdoors. A private hot tub sits on a patio in the enclosed garden, and from the kitchen window you look out to the farm's paddocks. Pets stay free. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.
