Old Low Farm Cottage
East Riding of Yorkshire
View on Google MapsOld Low Farm Cottage is a single-storey detached property on the cliffside near Aldbrough, a few miles from the seaside at Hornsea. It sits on a working sheep farm, which means a genuinely quiet setting while still being close enough to reach the coast for the day. The cottage sleeps 5: two double bedrooms, one single, and a shower room. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
Inside, the kitchen and dining area look out across open fields toward the sea, with a gas cooker and the usual appliances for self-catering. The sitting room centres on a wood burner—logs are available locally—with sofas, a 52-inch TV and games to hand. Bedrooms and living spaces are all ground floor, which works well for anyone with mobility concerns or young children in tow. Heating, electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all provided.
The real draw is outside: an enclosed courtyard and garden where the hot tub sits, with room for children and dogs to move about safely. There's parking for three cars and a bike store. The location works equally well for a quiet week away or as a base for exploring the Yorkshire coast and countryside around it.
