The King Charles III England Coast Path starts at your door, and the beach is a hundred metres along the clifftop. Hornsea and Withernsea are short drives away with their amusement arcades, chip shops and long stretches of sand. Spurn Point Nature Reserve suits walkers and birdwatchers, while Hornsea Mere—Yorkshire's largest freshwater lake—offers watersports and wildlife spotting. The Deep aquarium in Hull is within reach for a rainy day, and there are golf courses and cycle routes scattered through the locality.
The Lodge occupies ground-floor space within The Sellwood Arms pub grounds. A single step leads in; everything is on one level. The open-plan living area contains a wood-burning stove, a sofa, and a smart TV facing the patio doors. The kitchen is fitted with a gas cooker, microwave and full-sized fridge-freezer. One bedroom has a king bed, the other two bunks; a shower room serves both. Bed linen, towels, wifi and the first load of wood for the stove come as standard, as do electricity and heating. A enclosed patio with garden furniture and barbecue opens from the French doors, and a private four-person hot tub sits within the garden itself.
Private parking for two cars is provided. The property is non-smoking and welcomes one dog; there is a step in the garden itself. Check-in is after 15:00, checkout before 10:00.

Lovely owners, friendly atmosphere, quiet. Great 2 nights stay in campervans. Right by the beach, only get down if able to climb the cliff down just further right from the road to nowhere. Will definitely be back

Visited for the quiz night, very dog friendly, very welcoming staff and customers, stayed the night on their field in our camper van. Right beside a clifftop walk overlooking the sea. Great night, thank you.
