The surrounding landscape offers plenty to explore by car or on foot, making this a good base for discovering the region without being tied to a single spot.

Pond View Cottage is a converted stone building with two bedrooms—one kingsize, one single—and one bathroom with both a roll-top bath and shower. Downstairs, the living room has a wood-burning stove, smart TV and Freesat, while the kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with a range cooker, dishwasher and all the basics. There's also a study with a galleried desk overlooking the village. Essentials like electricity, heating, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels come as standard, along with initial fuel for the stove. The courtyard garden has seating and a built-in barbecue for outdoor meals.

Dog owners get exclusive use of a private enclosed field—either 3 or 5 acres—for a complimentary daily session, so your dog can run off-lead without other dogs around. The cottage is one property run by the owners, giving it a more personal feel. Parking for one car is on site, with additional space on the road. No smoking inside, please.
