South Cave and the Yorkshire Wolds sit within easy reach of proper countryside walking and cycling, where the gently rolling hills inspired David Hockney's paintings. The village itself has two pubs, a restaurant, and shops for day-to-day needs. North Cave Wetlands, a Yorkshire Wildlife Trust reserve, makes for a straightforward outing, as does South Cave Falconry with its collection of birds of prey. Beverley, a market town with a striking minster and cobbled streets lined with cafés and restaurants, is nearby; it hosts music festivals and farmers' markets throughout the year, plus horse racing at Westwood.
The Old Stables is a converted barn with everything on the ground floor: a spacious open-plan living and dining area with exposed beams and a woodburner, a fully equipped kitchen with two ovens and a dishwasher, and three double bedrooms. Two bathrooms serve the property—one en-suite to the first bedroom, the other with a bath and separate shower. An enclosed lawned garden with seating looks out from the tri-fold doors. One dog stays free. Essentials including bed linen, towels, wi-fi and heating are covered. There is on-road parking and CCTV entry.
No smoking inside. Children's equipment such as a travel cot and highchair can be arranged on request.
