We enjoyed our stay at William's den. The only things that knocked stars off were that there was terrible water pressure, if you tried having a shower and someone else turned another shower on the water would stop and you would be stood freezing in the field waiting for the next person to finish showering so you could wash the soap off. This was the same when trying to wash dishes. Also both nights we were camping we were woken up at 3am by loud music despite quiet hours starting after 10pm. The camp wardens did nothing to solve this and its just lucky we remembered ear plugs. We had a fun time but have definitely been to campsites with much better facilities and better enforced quiet hours.

1st time camping at Williams den campsite. The field is nice and flat, without any large puddles, despite it raining off and on for the last week. There is no electricity, as it's an off grid site, but they do have porta potties, showers, and sinks for personal hygiene and dishes.

We loved the camping ground as it was a huge field so everyone was really spread out meaning no worries about space or noise! The toilets were immaculate and faultless! Don’t forget a water carrier as the tap is quite a while away! We had a day in Wiliams Den. And enjoyed lunch in the restaurant! We are are arranging to come back soon!

A brilliant idea that made our day at William’s Den a lot easier! We brought our caravan but would have enjoyed tent camping just as much. The site is huge - plenty of space for everyone, with decent portaloos and rubbish bins. Water is at the side of the main building so we took the car up to carry it - it’s quite a trek with heavy water containers but actually really close to the main Den site. We enjoyed our breakfast at the terrace - quite pricey but really good food and decent coffee which was very welcome! We stayed midweek so headed to a nearby pub for tea - plenty of options within a half hour drive - lots of families catering for themselves on site too (we just felt lazy!). Overall a fantastic experience and we’ll definitely be back - it was really nice to be able to finish a day’s play at the Den and not have a long drive home when everyone was tired. Well done William’s Den - an inspired idea!
