East Riding of Yorkshire

Struncheon Hill Farm – River View sits four miles from Brandesburton in countryside that opens onto water on all sides. A river, lake and pond occupy the grounds, and fishing, canal cruises, jet skiing and diving are all less than half a mile away. The seaside towns of Bridlington, Scarborough and Filey are close enough for a day out; each has Blue Flag beaches and traditional seafront appeal. Locally you can also find an 18-hole golf course, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, and an RSPB bird sanctuary.

The property sleeps 8 across four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Ground floor rooms include a double and two singles; upstairs there is a four-poster kingsize and another pair of singles. A shower cubicle and roll-top bath serve the floors respectively. The open-plan living space has a kitchen equipped for proper cooking – electric oven, dishwasher, separate freezer – and a dining area alongside a sitting room with Freeview TV and DVD player. Essentials like electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included; a travel cot and highchair are on hand for younger children.

Ten acres of grounds surround the converted farm buildings, with two acres set aside for picnics and an enclosed garden and patio for your sole use. A shared games room, children's play area, bike store and on-site parking are available to guests. One well-behaved pet is welcome. The property does not permit smoking.

Nice place to stay, has its own entertainment/ games room. Only issue is there are no shops or pubs near. Your are better of bringing your own supplies.

Absolutely beautiful holiday homes ( yes, homes). We stayed in The Loft, 9 fantastic bedrooms, a massive living/kitchen area, more than ample kitchen wares, wonderful outdoor area. Shared swimming pool/snooker table/pool table, darts, and an arcade game, all fabulously presented, plus a great welcome pack.

Beautiful setting and peaceful. Be ready for poor phone signal but it meant the kids spent a lot of time swimming and playing pool rather than glued to their phones! There was building works going on site which was a shame but overall we had a lovely time there. Being able to take our dogs was a big hit.

Had a lovely week at struncheon hill farm. We arrived to a lovely welcome pack, with lots of treats. The cottage we stayed in (River view) was a beautiful place, plenty of room for our party of 7 and 3 dogs! It was clean, cosy and well equipt. I cooked everyday and there was everything I needed there, The pool and games room were very nice also. There is lots of things to do around the farm we visited Hornsea, Bridlington, sewerby hall & zoo, withernsea and Scarborough.. They were all an hour or less from the cottage. Would definitely return to struncheon hill.
