Brookfarm Cottages - Jasmine Cottage

East Staffordshire sits at the southern edge of the Peak District, close enough to Ashbourne's market town character and the Dove Valley's walking routes, yet with a village pace. Jasmine Cottage is a converted barn on the owner's grounds, sleeping three across two bedrooms—a kingsize and a single—with one bathroom. The ground floor has a living room with Freeview and an electric woodburner, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Upstairs is the bedroom space and bathroom with bath and shower.

The essentials are covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi. One dog stays free. There's private parking for two cars on site, a bike store, and a lawned garden with patio (shared with the other property on the grounds). A barbecue is available, and a welcome pack, travel cot and highchair are provided. The cottage is non-smoking throughout.

Within a mile you'll find a pub, shop and restaurant. The location works for Peak District exploration—Carsington Waters for water sports, Chatsworth and Haddon Hall for historic houses, Alton Towers for theme park visits—or simply for a quieter break walking the valleys and cycling the quieter lanes.
