Chick Hatch Barn

East Suffolk's countryside runs deep here, though the coast is near enough for a day trip. Chick Hatch Barn stands on a working sheep and beef farm between Framlingham and Saxmundham, surrounded by fields you can walk or cycle through. The nearest pub is a quarter-mile away; shops and restaurants are two miles off. Beach access is ten miles.

The barn is a single storey, ground-floor property for two people and one small dog. It has a bedroom with a kingsize bed, a shower room, and an open-plan living and dining space where a wood burner opens onto a courtyard garden with patio and seating. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, hob, dishwasher and microwave included. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided, along with initial logs for the burner. There's parking for one car on site and an electric vehicle charging point available at cost. No smoking indoors.

This is a quiet retreat for a couple wanting countryside walks, cycling, or access to the Heritage Coast—Minsmere's RSPB reserve, Dunwich and Aldeburgh are all within reasonable reach. The barn works equally well as a base for doing very little at all.
