Mallards

Mallards is a four-bedroom house sleeping eight in Thorpeness Meare, a coastal village in East Suffolk. Built nine years ago, it combines modern design with the comfort needed for a family break. The ground floor is open-plan living with a kitchen that has an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and all the basics for cooking from scratch. Bi-fold doors open onto the garden. There's a second sitting room with a smart TV, and a utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs, the four bedrooms each have their own bathroom or shower room with heated towel rails. The main bedroom has a super king bed (6ft); two others have king beds (5ft); the fourth has twin singles (3ft). Bed linen, towels, wi-fi and electricity are included. The house has its own hot tub for four people in the front garden, along with seating and parking for four cars.

Thorpeness Meare is a walking distance from Thorpeness Golf Club and the wider village amenities. One well-behaved pet can stay free. Smoking is not permitted inside.
