The Manor

The Manor is a part 11th-century, part 16th-century house set in Suffolk countryside a few miles from Ipswich. Eight bedrooms spread across three floors sleep up to 20 guests in a mix of doubles, four-posters, singles and bunks. Three bathrooms are distributed through the property, with two en-suites. You get the whole place to yourselves, and one dog stays free.

The ground floor revolves around cooking and gathering: two kitchens handle large groups comfortably, with an Aga, electric ovens, dishwasher, coffee machine and American fridge-freezer between them. The dining room connects to a living room with a woodburner (initial fuel included), and a second living room with a smart TV. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi and heating are all sorted. A daily housekeeper comes with fresh towels each day.

Entertainment and leisure facilities run to a private 10m heated pool, a separate cinema house, gym, sauna, and children's play area. The back garden has seating and a gas barbecue. Parking fits eight cars. Note that smoking is not permitted, and there is an unfenced pond in the grounds. The property does not host stag or hen parties.
