Hollywood Bowl Cribbs Causeway

Good place to take the kids for bowling on the edge of Bristol. Arcades were good as well. Staff were friendly and place was pretty clean.

Really conflicting views of the Hollywood Bowl...Went with my partner for the first time I'm not from Bristol, but he is, and had spoken really well of Hollywood Bowl. We played pool for a while, got some drinks which the bar staff were lovely, and then a few of the arcade games. We attempted played a driving simulation game just before we went to leave. My partners machine allowed him to play for a few seconds then cut out. My machine however took 3 payments out of my bank account and didn't start at all after waiting for several minutes and making several attempts to start it. I thought maybe this was an issue theyre were experiencing- no biggie. Couldn't find an on floor attendant. Said to the front desk machines weren't functioning the best- only to find the machines functioning again but cutting out. The young blonde lady at the desk was coming off very stand-offish, repeating the machine was functioning fine. I said I understood that but its taken 3 payments out of my bank (which she was showed) and wasn't working a few moments ago, I specified I didn't care about the money its just the principal of things. The lady had offered to re-credit the machine to play and I said we had to leave now which was greeted by her "i don't care" attitude. I asked if I could just get a refund for the 3 payments- reply? I'd only get one because the rest were nothing to do with the company or machine. My partner said that was fine and we left. I was shocked at the lack of friendliness and the overwhelming amount of rudeness in response to my concern/complaint. I've worked with the public throughout my life and understand sometimes it can be difficult to maintain a standard of customer service- but it also cost nothing to be a bit mannerful and respectful! Read a few other reviews and noticed this was a repeat pattern with some members of staff which is a shame since some of the staff are so attentive and the place had an overall nice atmosphere...

Quite nice experience. Food, drink and two rounds for 30 during Christmas time is not a bad deal. Great fun. Also, appreciated the 4 pints massive bucket for 15.

We visited bowling after work on a weekend with some colleagues. We had lots of fun in the facilities were okay. Please expect it to be very busy and full of kids. It’s good to also know it’s not just bowling, but it has a couple of other machine/games that kids can play on. Some of our drinks while ordering through our lane took more than 15 minutes to arrive but it was extremely busy.
