What visitors say
Our first visit the sherwood pines campsite in April. The drive in from the main road and through the forest is absolutely stunning. The site itself was very busy and as such the facilities were a bit grubby but nice and fresh first thing on a m morning. Great pizza van and fish and chip van visiting which everyone seemed to enjoy and there was always a queue. The play park is great as well as access to the new pump track. We also enjoyed 10% off at GoApe which we rode our bikes to in under 5 minutes. We would definitely consider visiting here again in the future.

This campsite on the edge of the forest makes for cycle rides straight from the caravan, with no traffic to negotiate. Great facilities and friendly staff. Chippy van visits on a Saturday evening too. Mix of hardstanding and grassed pitches, but not too large a site. Great cafe at the nearby visitors centre.

Great facilities and lovely staff. Just felt grass pitches where we were could have been marked out better. Granddaughter loved the play area and the path to visitor centre on her bike. Enjoyed s bit of star gazing as there is very little light

Our 2nd visit to Sherwood Pines and we will be back. We were in our motorhome and this time on grass pitch. Walks direct from the campsite and cycle paths etc. Facilities are very good, the block is in the centre of the site so ok for wherever you are pitched. The children's play area is also in the middle but maybe that would benefit from being on one side of the campsite in maybe a family area.
