Sherwood Forest Lodge 1 comes ready for immediate use: wi-fi and electricity are covered, bed linen and towels provided, and the kitchen is fully fitted with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. A welcome pack arrives with you. The single-storey layout keeps everything on one level—living space with a 32-inch smart TV and breakfast bar flows into the kitchen, while the two bedrooms each have their own ensuite shower room. A kingsize bed in the first room, a double in the second, plus a sofa bed in the living area means the lodge can sleep up to five.

Outside, a private hot tub sits in the enclosed garden among patio furniture and lawn, with parking for two cars. One small dog stays free. The location opens directly onto the National Cycle Trail, with Sherwood Pines and Sherwood Forest adjacent; King John's Palace ruins are next door. Within a short drive lie Clumber Park, Rufford Abbey, Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle. A pub and restaurant are within walking distance, and the shop is a mile and a half away. The lodge does not accept children under five, and smoking is not permitted indoors.
