About The Pines Guest House

The Pines Guest House is a small, family-run bed and breakfast set in an impressive Victorian mansion with its own extensive grounds in the historic East end of Elgin, on the A96 between Inverness and Aberdeen. It is around five minutes' walk from the town centre and convenient for both regional airports.

The three room types — king-size en-suite, family en-suite and superior king en-suite — all overlook the gardens and include complimentary toiletries, tea and coffee facilities and a television, with cots available for families on request.

Breakfast is freshly cooked using locally sourced ingredients, with home-baked bread, fruit compotes and vegetarian and vegan options alongside the traditional Scottish breakfast, and free on-site parking makes it a straightforward base for touring the area by car.

Elgin is a lovely part of the world and perfect for exploring Speyside. The Pines Guest House is fantastic! Really gorgeous period rooms, incredibly comfortable bed and spotless throughout. The hosts Lee and Lynn (I hope I have that right) are very friendly and helpful. It’s a short walk into town and there’s a nice route they recommended via the cathedral. This is the best place I have stayed in Scotland and I’ll definitely be back next time I visit Elgin - highly recommended!

Just had a lovely stay at the Pines hotel in Elgin. I loved the quirkyness of the decor - really interesting and makes a great talking point. Really clean and tidy, tasty breakfast and a good blether with the owners - who were more than accommodating waiting up till 10:30pm when I missed the train 🫣 Definitely highly recommend. I’ll be back ♥️

Went there 2 years ago and I just loved that place. The owners where awsome and very helpfull. As for the breakfast, it was everything I wanted for my first scottish experience. The Pines is well located if you're looking to visit the Speyside distillerys.
