Absolutely stunning walk around the lake. Lots of beautiful spots to pause on route around the lake with reflection benches. Part of the route actually takes you onto roads so just be aware that there are some narrow roads and you will need to keep eyes and ears open for vehicles so you can wait safely for them to pass. There is a large paid car park, a lovely cafe, toilets and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The entire walk around the lake is about 13 miles and takes you through sone beautiful woodlands, open areas and roads. I thoroughly recommend this walk to anybody who enjoys long walks.

Ok so the weather didn't help but more than 1 hour parking costs over £6!! Cafe could be so much better. Lots of competition close by with better service. Arrived at 11.10 on sunday. Missed the breakfast menu despite chef not cooking. Could do with a clean up especially with 3 staff and 15 customers. Needs improvement but content with captive audience using soft play. Would rather go to Scotney or Bedgebury in future or park in wadhurst and walk to Bewl for free. Park8ng should be cheaper.

There are four yurts in total, each with a lovely, cosy feel. On arrival we found a welcome pack containing a bag of logs, kindling and firelighters, plus a torch, bin bag, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and UHT milk pots. The yurt also included cups, mugs, a jug and wooden spoons. Each bed had two comfortable pillows each and there are extra blankets stored in the trunk at the end of the bed for colder nights. Solar-powered fairy lights inside and outside the yurt add a really lovely touch in the evenings. Outside, each yurt has a small decking area with a table and two chairs, plus a picnic bench on the grass. You’re allowed to drive up to the yurt to unload your belongings before parking in the car park directly opposite, which makes arrival and departure really easy. One thing worth noting is that although a kettle is provided, there’s no gas stove. The kettle relies on the wood burner being lit, which isn’t ideal during the summer when it’s too warm to have a fire going. We were very glad we’d brought our own camping stove. I’d definitely recommend packing a gas stove for making drinks and simple meals, along with your own camping chairs if you want something more comfortable to relax in. Although the website says BBQs aren’t allowed, we were told they are, and if you don’t have one, the campsite will loan you a small BBQ free of charge. The facilities are where I think there’s the most room for improvement. Initially, the toilets seemed fine, but we later realised there are only three toilets serving the entire campsite, which covers two fields. They’re unisex and we didn’t experience queues, but it does feel like there should be more. There are also only three women’s showers located down by the boathouse near the paddleboard hire. A dedicated shower block closer to the camping area would make a huge difference. There are two washing-up sinks by the toilet block, but you’ll need to bring your own washing-up liquid and sponge. There’s also a water tap conveniently located behind our yurt. Bins and an ash bin can be found at the top of the camping car park, just up from the camping reception. Phone charging is available at reception, although it isn’t always staffed, and there are additional charging points at the Waterside Café. Reception also sells bags of ice for £2.50. Food options were good overall. Pizzas are available from 5pm-8pm on Friday and Saturday evenings for around £10 each, with just Margherita and Pepperoni available. They were perfectly edible and did the job, although a little underwhelming. The complimentary breakfast, however, was excellent. It included a pastry, a breakfast roll and a hot or cold drink, with generous portions that were absolutely delicious. The Waterside Café is lovely, but don’t expect it to double as a fully stocked camp shop. If you’ve forgotten camping essentials, you’ll need to head elsewhere. Thankfully, there’s a Mountain Warehouse nearby in Tunbridge Wells. There are loads of activities on site. One piece of advice I’d give is that I wouldn’t recommend the Aqua Park for children under about 12, or for children who aren’t confident swimmers. It requires a surprising amount of upper-body strength and confidence in the water, and younger children will definitely benefit from a one-to-one adult-to-child ratio. The staff throughout our stay were friendly, welcoming and approachable, and we really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. We also liked that standard campers can pitch alongside your yurt if you’re holidaying with friends or family. Overall, we absolutely loved our stay. It offered great value for money and we’d happily return. The only suggestions I’d make are to update the FAQ section on the website with: * A full list of everything included in the yurts. * Confirmation that there are four yurts on site. * Clear guidance that dogs must remain on leads at all times. * Clearly stated quiet hours. * Clarification that bringing a camping stove is advisable if staying in warmer months.

This place is beautiful! The views are amazing. The walk around the lake is 13 miles and took us 4 hours 20 mins. It’s signed pretty well but some of the mile markers are missing which is a shame as they are really handy to make sure you are on track. It’s a shame that some of the walk takes you onto the road but when we went it wasn’t busy so not many cars to avoid
