Linlithgow sits within reach of Blackness Castle and its beach, making Paddockhall Cottages - Mayflower a practical base for exploring the Forth coastline and surrounding countryside. The cottage is purpose-built, set back from the main road with views towards open fields from the rear garden. It sleeps 6 across three bedrooms, each with its own shower room: a kingsize on the ground floor, another kingsize upstairs, and a twin room on the first floor as well.
The ground floor is largely open plan—living area, dining space and kitchen flow together, with large windows looking out over the garden. A wood burner sits in the living room; fuel for it is supplied to start. The kitchen is fully fitted with an induction hob, electric oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and combi microwave. A utility room has a washing machine. Bed linen, towels and wifi are included, as are heating and electricity. There is parking on site and a shared electric vehicle charging point. One well-behaved dog can stay free.
The cottage suits families or small groups wanting space to spread out, with the ground-floor kingsize handy if anyone has mobility concerns. Edinburgh is within reasonable driving distance. Smoking is not permitted inside.

The Old Mill - We recently stayed at Paddockhall as a family of four, along with our dog, and absolutely loved it. The amenities were excellent, the surrounding walks are stunning, and it’s perfectly located next to Champany and Mannerstons. The house itself is cosy, comfortable, and just perfect, we’ve honestly never stayed in such a well thought out dog-friendly lodge before. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to come back again in a few weeks! Thank you for hosting us!

We had a wonderful stay at Paddockhall Cottages (Speed The Plough). The property is excellently run — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the countryside. Everything we needed was provided. Our kids especially loved visiting the horses in the stables and feeding them apples and carrots — a real highlight of the stay! Five minutes from the quaint town of Linlithgow. Train line to Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings! #scotland #linlithgow #farm #linlithgowpalace

Spacious, high quality accommodation. The cottage was beautiful and so well maintained. You have great road and rail connections on hand, but amazing countryside views. Highly recommend.

Simply WOW. Everything you need is provided and so much more. We stayed in Petronella for 7 nights and it was more than home from home, spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautiful views. Such a warm welcome with complimentary wine and biscuits on arrival. Paddockhall Farm is in an excellent spot for travel for day's out. We had an amazing time here and will definitely be returning ASAP. Thankyou to Wesley, family and team for such a wonderful stay.
