Veleta suits families, groups of friends, or couples wanting countryside space. The cottage has three bedrooms and two bathrooms across two floors: a master with ensuite on the ground floor, two further bedrooms upstairs (one kingsize with ensuite, one with twin singles sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom). Downstairs, an open-plan living area with a wood burner and patio doors opens onto garden furniture and a patio. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and fridge-freezer; a utility room holds washing and tumble-drying facilities. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels, heating and electricity are included, along with initial logs for the burner. Cots and highchairs are available on request.
The property sits on a working farm in West Lothian, surrounded by three kilometres of grassy farm tracks suitable for walking and dogs. One dog can stay free, though it must be kept on a lead (the farm raises sheep). An inn stands five minutes' walk away; Linlithgow town, three miles off, has a wider choice of pubs and restaurants, plus a railway station with connections to Edinburgh in fifteen minutes. The M9 junction is half a mile away, making Edinburgh twenty miles distant and Stirling twenty-four. Private parking fits three cars; bike storage is on site. No smoking is allowed in the cottage.

The Old Mill - We recently stayed at Paddockhall as a family of four, along with our dog, and absolutely loved it. The amenities were excellent, the surrounding walks are stunning, and it’s perfectly located next to Champany and Mannerstons. The house itself is cosy, comfortable, and just perfect, we’ve honestly never stayed in such a well thought out dog-friendly lodge before. We enjoyed it so much that we’ve already booked to come back again in a few weeks! Thank you for hosting us!

We had a wonderful stay at Paddockhall Cottages (Speed The Plough). The property is excellently run — clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The surroundings are peaceful and relaxing, perfect for unwinding and enjoying the countryside. Everything we needed was provided. Our kids especially loved visiting the horses in the stables and feeding them apples and carrots — a real highlight of the stay! Five minutes from the quaint town of Linlithgow. Train line to Edinburgh, Stirling and Glasgow. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a quiet retreat in beautiful surroundings! #scotland #linlithgow #farm #linlithgowpalace

Spacious, high quality accommodation. The cottage was beautiful and so well maintained. You have great road and rail connections on hand, but amazing countryside views. Highly recommend.

Simply WOW. Everything you need is provided and so much more. We stayed in Petronella for 7 nights and it was more than home from home, spotlessly clean, comfortable and beautiful views. Such a warm welcome with complimentary wine and biscuits on arrival. Paddockhall Farm is in an excellent spot for travel for day's out. We had an amazing time here and will definitely be returning ASAP. Thankyou to Wesley, family and team for such a wonderful stay.
