Rooms come with en-suite bathrooms, drinks facilities and free WiFi, and guests also have access to shared showers, toilets and a kitchen. Staff are on hand around the clock at the 24 hour reception, and there's a laundry service for longer stays. The beds and the helpfulness of the team are consistently mentioned as strong points, though some rooms have been reported as poorly kept and in need of a proper airing.
Golf, fishing and entertainment are all within reach nearby, and there are pubs, bars and restaurants close at hand for evening meals. It's a straightforward, no-frills base for the price, best suited to guests who want somewhere to sleep cheaply rather than a polished finish.
What guests say
1. Its Clean 2.Its Quiet 3.Staff were very friendly and helpful its somewhere I'd stay overnight for work maybe even 2 nights. IIt's not somewhere you'd book for holidays, for work as a truckers wife I could not complain. Plenty toilets and showers. Bedding was pristine and had clean towles, added bonus we had some soap, shampoo and body gel. We had the ensuite with shower sink and toilet in the room. Plenty parking out front. The place just needs a little paint outside and some weeding done as it looks a little run down. The inside is clean and a tad old fashioned. It's somewhere to put your head down and shower in the morning. Overall a great experience Thanks for a great stay Metro Inn

I don’t really understand why there are so many negative reviews. A friendly middle-aged man welcomed us, explained everything clearly, and showed us around. Our room had a bunk bed. Everything was clean, although a bit old and worn, but the bed was comfortable. The shared shower and toilet on the floor were also clean and convenient. There is a kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave and refrigerator. For £30 for two people, this is an excellent budget option.

We went on a trip to Scotland, and we were searching for a hotel to stay and as we looked on that picture I thought that it was perfect but boy I was wrong… at first you are greeted by unbearable smell of cigarettes which I smelled throughout the whole trip but each day the smell was stronger and stronger and at the last day I couldn’t stay at my dorm because of that, if that wasn’t enough for you to not choose that hotel, you will now, after you opened the door you are greeted by a dirty floor with substances I don’t even want to think what they were, the walls were dirty from people that rented it before (from some food to even mold) and not just the walls or the floor were dirty, also the beds something that is supposed to be clean ready for someone to just go to sleep I’ve got a dorm with a bedsheet that was covered in some brown substance, after that I would rather sleep outside (there was a homeless man which had a tent under my window and he was harassing us but you could just close the window and not care about him, he wasn’t dangerous). After all that I’m positive that even prisoners have cleaner rooms than the one the hotel offers. I strongly advise you to look for something else unless you want to risk getting some health issues.

If you want a place to stay at, a prison will be a better choice. The rooms are dirty, the showers and toilets are in the corridors (they're dirty as well) and they're absolutely horrible. We walked into the room and were greated with nasty bedsheets, someone had explosive diarrhea and defecated on the pillow, and the staff didn't change it (they did but only after we called them). Everything smells like cigarettes, agony and despair. I don't recommend.
