About Highfield Heights Camping

Tucked into rolling Surrey countryside with sweeping views toward the Surrey Hills, Highfield Heights is a pop-up site that's peaceful yet practical – just 15 minutes' drive from Farnham and 50 minutes by train from London Waterloo. Neatly mown pitches are spread across assorted fields, offering plenty of space to wander, while woodland walks nearby make it a paradise for doggy companions. Though off-grid in spirit, you'll find hot showers, a private bath, even a hot tub, plus campfire and barbecue freedom.

Families appreciate the proximity to Legoland and Thorpe Park, while Farnham itself has pubs, restaurants and supermarkets for stocking up. The site welcomes everyone from single-sex and student groups to motorcycle tourers, and pitches range from non-electric grass to hardstanding and electric hook-ups. It's a handy, budget-friendly spot that feels genuinely remote – though some might find the pop-up nature means facilities can feel a little basic compared to year-round sites.

Great little campsite, has running water, an outhouse building is provided - just a single room for the whole site which is small in fairness so should suffice - it's incredibly basic, and very rough around the edges (foam matting on the walls of the bathroom area and wonky roof tiles, so a converted shed more or less) it's not the ritz, definitely more wild camping vibes! But experienced or self contained campers won't mind at all, those expecting good quality glamping facilities will probably be disappointed and not want to use the shower/bathroom, for those I'd recommend bringing their own solar shower but for me it did the job. It's the weakest point of the site and far from a bad one. The site has lots of wildlife, with horses living and frolicking on the land. It is near enough to the main roads and airport that there is some road and aircraft noise but most will not be put off by this. If you're quiet and stay up late you can spot deer, badgers, foxes, etc. There is some light pollution to the north and east ofcourse but you can still see the stars overhead and it's an otherwise small and quiet campsite, on a slight hill, with lovely views, and the owners are lovely too. Overall a great little campsite and I'll be a regular here now.
