Kannier Cottage

You enter Kannier Cottage into a ground-floor living space with a television, dining room and kitchen where you can cook proper meals. The kitchen has a gas cooker, dishwasher and all the essentials, plus there's a breakfast area if you want to eat overlooking the garden. That ground floor also holds two bedrooms—one with two single beds and its own shower room, another with a kingsize bed served by a main bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Upstairs, two further bedrooms (a double and a single) and another sitting room without a television create quieter spaces for the household to spread out.

The cottage sits in an elevated position above St Monans, a conservation village with a 17th-century harbour and red-pantiled buildings. A large enclosed garden with patio and furniture wraps around the property, with private parking for three cars and a store for bikes and equipment. The Fife Coastal Path runs from your doorstep, leading to sandy beaches, coves and historic sites; the Millennium Cycle Way offers quieter routes inland through forest and disused railway lines. Anstruther, a larger coastal town with daily ferries to the Isle of May between April and September, is nearby. St Andrews lies ten miles away. One well-behaved pet stays free.
