Morrice House
Fife
Morrice House began life as a registry office, a fact still evident in this characterful end-terrace cottage in the village of Ceres. The building sits on a quiet street lined with historic architecture, and its front garden provides a genuine outdoor space—patio furniture included—where you can take breakfast or simply settle in with coffee. The property sleeps six across three bedrooms: a king on the lower ground floor, a double and two singles upstairs, with a bathroom containing both a bath and shower on the lower ground, and a separate toilet on the first floor.
The kitchen is properly equipped for self-catering, with an oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine among its appliances. The living and dining area opens onto the garden through patio doors and has a wood-burning stove and Freeview Smart TV. Wi-Fi, heating, electricity, bed linen and towels are all covered. One well-behaved pet can stay free of charge. Ceres itself has a butchers, store, café and hotel; the village green serves as a play space for children and hosts an annual games event. Walking trails begin from the property, and Cupar lies three miles away for additional supplies. St Andrews is eight miles distant—useful for university visits—while the Scottish Deer Centre, Sea Life Centre and sandy beaches at Tentsmuir Forest are within reasonable reach. No smoking indoors; there are steps both at the entrance and within the garden to be aware of.
