Serenity

Photo: Serenity Scotland

Serenity is a ground-floor apartment in a modern, quiet housing estate on the edge of Anstruther. You walk straight from your private front door into communal gardens with a children's play area, and your parking space sits just behind the flat. Inside, everything is on one level: a separate lounge with a smart TV, a kitchen-diner with electric cooker, gas hob and washing machine, two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with a zip-and-link that splits into two singles on request), and a bathroom with both bath and separate shower cubicle. Electricity, Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. One dog stays free.

Anstruther is a working fishing harbour with a reputation for exceptional fish and chips, and the surrounding East Neuk coastline is known for golden sandy beaches linked by the Fife Coastal Path. St Andrews and its championship golf courses are ten miles away; Edinburgh is under fifty miles. The apartment is non-smoking and suitable for families with small children, who can use the shared play area on the grounds.

Iain Stewart with Serenity Scotland did a fabulous job showing us Ireland and Scotland. He took us where we wanted to go and so much more. What a fountain of knowledge he is and a delight to be around. So glad we didn't have to drive on those narrow streets! I highly recommend Iain!

Using Serenity Scotland for our group's trip through Scotland was amazing! Iain was wonderful and aptly showed his deep knowledge and love for his country. He drove us through the many different landscapes and shared the history of the areas through which we travelled. It was a treat to sit back and enjoy our vacation without any worries with Iain at the helm. When I'm fortunate enough to return to Scotland, I will use the services of Serentiy Scotland, and Iain, again!

A Masterful Scottish Journey with Iain of Serenity Scotland Choosing Serenity Scotland and having Iain as our guide transformed our trip from a simple vacation into an unforgettable, immersive experience. From the moment we started in Edinburgh then to Pitlochry, through the dramatic landscapes to Inverness and the breathtaking Isle of Skye, Iain was the perfect host and guide. We visited countless wonderful villages and hidden gems along the way, all thanks to his expertise. What truly set this tour apart was Iain’s genuine warmth and incredible flexibility. He wasn't just following a schedule; he was crafting a personalized adventure. He constantly customized the itinerary as we went along, ensuring we saw what we were most interested in, making us feel completely valued every step of the way. Iain’s knowledge is truly in-depth. Every castle, loch, and glen came alive through his detailed narratives on Scottish history and captivating tales of folklore. He shared stories and context we would never have found on our own, adding incredible depth and meaning to the stunning scenery. We returned home not just with photos, but with a deep appreciation for Scotland's rich culture. If you are looking for a highly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable guide who is dedicated to creating a customized, once-in-a-lifetime tour, we cannot recommend Iain and Serenity Scotland highly enough. Five stars simply don't do him justice!

This was the second trip in two years to East Neuk and having Iain from Serenity Scotland was a good part of the reason for my return. The first trip in 2023 was a solo trip. This September 2025, I traveled back with my three siblings for a homecoming with our UK cousins. Iain took all seven of us on a delightful day-long hike on the coastal path, with a fabulous boxed lunch from The Beehive in Crail included. Iain’s wealth of historical knowledge, his humor and his professionalism is second to none. I hope to keep returning again and again!
