The Hideaway
Fife
Anstruther is a working fishing town with a harbour, pier and two sandy beaches within the East Neuk of Fife. The Hideaway sits in an elevated position overlooking the characteristic pantile rooftops and water beyond, close enough to walk down to the harbour-side cafés and the award-winning fish and chip shop. The Fife Coastal Path runs through town in both directions for longer walks along the shore.
The cottage is laid across two levels with a street-level entrance and free parking outside. Downstairs holds the main living and dining space, one bedroom (kingsize), and a shower room. Steep stairs lead down to the lower ground floor, where two further bedrooms and the kitchen are located; one bedroom has a zip-and-link superking bed that splits into twins on request, the other a double. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. Two separate outdoor areas—one at street level, one a sunny courtyard off the kitchen—both have seating. Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are included. The property sleeps six and is yours alone for the duration of your stay.
The location suits families drawn to the beaches (bucket and spade territory for rock pools and sandcastle building), couples after a coastal break, or groups of friends. One dog is welcome. No smoking throughout.
