Pee Wee Cottage

Opening the door to Pee Wee Cottage, you step straight into a bright kitchen and dining room fitted with everything needed to cook properly – electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher, and the rest. Two bedrooms sit on the ground floor: one with a kingsize bed, the other with singles. The bathroom has a bath with shower and heated towel rail. Upstairs, a spacious living room with a smart TV opens onto a covered balcony where the real draw becomes obvious – unobstructed views across the Firth of Forth to the far shore. The whole cottage is yours alone, with parking for two cars and a bike store on site. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included. No smoking throughout.

Anstruther is a working fishing village with cobbled streets, red pantile roofs, and the sort of local detail – harbour activity, small galleries, gift shops – that makes coastal towns feel lived-in rather than designed. Two sandy beaches sit within walking distance, good for rock pools at low tide. Food options range from the Michelin-starred Cellar restaurant to chip shops and cafés. Summer boat trips from the harbour reach the Isle of May, a nature reserve known for puffins and grey seals. The Fife coastal path connects the town to wider walking. One dog stays free; smoking is not permitted.
