Monkey Bizness Indoor Play Centre

Having visited many soft play centres across Sussex and Kent, this was unfortunately by far the less enjoyable experiences we've had. The soft play facilities themselves are actually very good, the food was enjoyable, and the staff we interacted with at food counter were friendly and helpful. However, the venue does not appear to operate a booking system, which resulted in significant overcrowding during our visit. The car park was extremely congested, with vehicles parked wherever space could be found even on single yellows and pavements just to attend. Inside, the environment felt very noisy and chaotic. A particular concern was the lack of supervision within the play areas. Older children were frequently pushing past much younger children without consideration, while very young toddlers were using equipment intended for older age groups without visible parental supervision. Even when a small percentage of children had parent supervision it was clear where the lack of care or basic principles had come from. During our visit, there appeared to be no active monitoring of the play areas by staff just juice the kids up on sugar and watch them go. The venue has a strict policy regarding outside food, even for what may be genuine dietary or personal reasons. As a result, families are limited to the food options available on-site again to upsell the play and eat option prioritising profit over experience. It's disappointing because the facility has a great deal of potential. With better capacity management, clearer supervision of the play areas, and a greater focus on the overall customer experience and safety, it could be one of the better soft play venues in the area. Unfortunately, our experience suggested that maximising visitor numbers may currently take priority over maintaining a comfortable and well-managed environment.

I have visited Monkey Bizness Lewes multiple times with my child, as well as with friends and family. We tend to go mainly for convenience, usually once every six months or when other options are limited. That said, it is a fairly large space and does a good job of keeping children entertained. Compared to similar venues, it is one of the better soft play centres I’ve been to, and I would recommend it overall. However, I do feel it is slightly on the expensive side, although they do offer off-peak and peak pricing options. Parking can be a bit of a challenge. While there is plenty of parking available outside, it is often full, meaning you may need to drive around the nearby industrial area to find a space. I haven’t had much direct interaction with the staff beyond the standard check-in process, but from signing in and paying, everything has always seemed organised and perfectly fine. Overall, it’s a solid option for children’s entertainment, particularly due to its size and convenience.

First time visiting with my high energy 4yo today! We popped in while my car was being repaired and stayed for 2 hours as LO was having so much fun. Big and spacious so lots of room to play and explore! We did the play and eat deal and he liked the pizza. Works out great value. Good selection of drinks and snacks too! I had a lovely cappucino and cake! Friendly and helpful staff. All in all a fab visit and now we know it is there we will definitely be back.

We always come to Monkey Bizness because the kids absolutely love it. The soft play area is always clean, well maintained and has plenty to keep children entertained for hours. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere is great for families. The cafe is also a nice bonus with a good selection of food and drinks. Highly recommended for anyone with young children.
