Bramble Cottage and Honey Cottage - Bramble Cottage
Forest of Dean
The Forest of Dean spreads across the border country between England and Wales, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty where ancient woodland meets open hillside. This part of Gloucestershire draws people for mountain biking and gentler forest walks, for the attractions at Puzzlewood and Go Ape, and for the scatter of castles—Raglan, Goodrich, Chepstow, Caldicott—that punctuate the landscape. A pub lies a mile away; the shop is two miles down the road.
Bramble Cottage is a two-bedroom property sleeping four, set within the owner's grounds on two acres of landscaped land. You get a sitting room with woodburner and freeview TV, a separate dining room, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking. Upstairs are two bedrooms—one with a zip-and-link king bed (which can be split into singles), the other with two single beds—and a bathroom with both bath and shower. One dog can stay free, though must be kept on a lead in this sheep country. The cottage has its own enclosed patio with lawn, parking on site, and an independent entrance; essentials like heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included.
The space suits families and couples looking for a genuine retreat in working countryside, rather than a tourist-focused village. A travel cot and highchair are available if you ask ahead.
