About Greenacres Campsite
Tucked into an 11-acre smallholding right in the heart of the Forest of Dean, this relaxed family-run site puts you mere minutes from woodland trails, the River Wye and local favourites like Puzzlewood and Clearwell Caves. Spacious, level grass pitches spread across two acres beneath mature trees that offer welcome shade and shelter, while the spotless modern shower blocks and well-stocked on-site shop (renowned for its breakfast rolls and pastries) earn consistent praise from guests. Friendly owners go the extra mile to help, and there's plenty to keep children busy at the excellent nearby playground.
Hire a firepit complete with wood, or bring your own off-ground barbecue if you fancy cooking your catch from the Wye. Traditional pubs lie within easy walking distance at Newland and Staunton, and many local eateries happily deliver straight to your pitch. With pitches for tents, tourers and campervans – including hardstanding and gravel options – plus rallies and D. of E. groups welcome, it's a peaceful base for families, walkers and cyclists keen to explore this spectacular corner of Gloucestershire.

What visitors say
Lovely well maintained site, the pitches were great (nice and flat with nice clean stones for the awning). Grass in between pitches was also excellent. Toilet block was clean and modern, and the small onsite shop was very handy for bits and bobs. Would recommend to others and will probably visit again soon. Also well placed for days out, lots of attractions a short drive away. Staff were helpful and friendly.

A fantastic campsite that exceeded our expectations. Green Acres Campsite has everything you need for a relaxing family camping trip. The pitches are large, the facilities are spotless, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The children's play area and open space were perfect for our family, giving the kids plenty of room to run around while we relaxed. The campsite is also very dog friendly, which was a huge plus for us. The staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay and went above and beyond when we needed assistance. It's rare to find such genuine hospitality. The location is ideal for exploring Ross-on-Wye and enjoying activities on the River Wye, making it a great base for family adventures. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely be returning in the future.

Beautiful clean campsite, fabulous little shop for Bacon rolls and pastries in the morning. Great pitch sizes, if you have an awning that needs pegging down go for a grass pitch instead of a hardstanding pitch, couldnt even get my rock pegs in but we have had loads of dry weather recently. Lovely clean shower block and toilets. A very well maintained site with friendly staff. Only thing that spoilt our holiday was people playing loud music, an 8pm cut off would be better than a 10pm. This site is really close to some great attractions too. Would definately come back again.

My two young daughter's and I stayed in a glamping tent this past weekend. Excellent value for money, very comfy beds and beautiful tents. The campsite is also fantastic, very green, and of course in a beautiful part of the world. Very much enjoyed our stay.
