Tudor Farmhouse

Photo: Tudor Farmhouse

Coleford sits in the quieter reaches of Kent, where the Weald spreads out in fields and woodland. Within an hour of London, yet far enough to feel genuinely remote, the village sits close to walking-distance pubs and restaurants. Tudor Farmhouse is a detached property on a one-acre grounds that lets large groups—families across generations, or groups of friends—spread out properly without feeling cramped.

Seven bedrooms across three floors sleep 17 in total. Ground level has the main living and dining spaces, a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch, and a utility room. Upstairs are five bedrooms with a mix of super-kingsize, kingsize and single beds, served by two bathrooms. The top floor holds two further bedrooms and another bathroom. Each room is furnished and decorated with care. A ground-floor cloakroom is separate. The grounds include patios, garden furniture and a gas barbecue; private parking accommodates seven cars. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen and towels are provided. The property does not allow smoking, and guests should be aware of steps in the grounds and an unfenced pond.

This works best for family celebrations, milestone gatherings or groups wanting several days together under one roof, with enough space that not everyone needs to occupy the same room.

What a truly beautiful place the owners and staff have created. ❤️ We had the privilege of spending a few nights in this peaceful oasis of tranquillity and space, together with our little dog. The cottages and the gardens are simply stunning: beautifully designed and impeccably maintained. The food is absolutely exceptional. And to the singing chef: we sincerely hope you keep singing, as it added such a wonderful extra dimension to our dinners. :-) Finally, to the staff: thank you for looking after us so incredibly well and making us feel so welcome. We are deeply grateful and can’t wait to come back. See you again soon!

We had dinner here last night, absolutely fantastic quality food! Every course was on another level, even the warm bread was fab. The younger waitress was very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

I booked a two night stay as a surprise for my husband and I can honestly say this was the perfect place! The room ( No 9) was comfortable with all the amenities you could possibly need and the monsoon shower was incredible! The staff were really helpful and accommodating and the service was fabulous. We booked into the restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious. I would go so far as saying it was the best food we’d tasted in ages and the menu was varied with something for everyone. This is also true of the breakfast which was also really enjoyable and lots to choose from. We loved it so much that I’ve booked us another stay in November, just slightly longer this time. Thank you to everyone for making us feel so welcome.

The food is simply stunning. Chef Arran and his team produce the highest quality fine dining. The food is simply outstanding, exceptional and delicious. The location is quiet and peaceful, and we look forward to returning very soon.
