Mountjoy is a detached house in Ruspidge, within the Forest of Dean. It sleeps six across three bedrooms: a double, a bunk room, and a twin. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The ground floor holds a living room with a woodburner and smart TV, opening onto an enclosed garden with patio and seating area, plus a kitchen-diner fitted with an electric cooker, range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer. A utility room contains a washing machine. Parking for two cars is on site. Wi-Fi, electricity, bed linen, towels and initial fuel for the woodburner are included.
The Forest of Dean is densely wooded countryside with woodland walks, cycle trails and wildlife to explore from your door. Nearby villages and towns like Coleford and Lydney have independent shops, cafés and pubs. The area is known for outdoor activities—mountain biking, kayaking on the River Wye, visits to Puzzlewood and the Sculpture Trail—alongside quieter pursuits like steam train rides on the Dean Forest Railway and trips to Clearwell Caves. Families will find play areas and attractions at places like Beechenhurst Lodge and the Dean Heritage Centre. Smoking is not permitted inside.
