Just returned from a wonderful stay at The Nest at Roost Retreats! We absolutely loved the beautiful and thoughtfully appointed cabin, the amazing views and the tranquility. We were blessed with good weather and didn’t want to move from the swing seat in the sun! We enjoyed using the sauna, the Japanese bath and sitting by the firepit in the evening - and the delicious pre-ordered Thai meal. All of us, including our pooch, had a very relaxing time. In hindsight, we wish we had booked for longer 🙂. Thank you Lorraine for creating such a relaxing haven. xxx

What a fantastic place to stay! On the edge of the Forest of Dean, it’s the perfect location to explore. We saw an abundance of wildlife - esp in the sky! The lodge itself is just the right size for two people and a dog (very accommodating for dogs). The highlight is the Japanese soak tub - sitting in there and watching the bats was memorable. Lorraine was a great host and always got back to us quickly, plus she has thought of lots of nice touches, like the brownie and food staples!

We had a 2 night stay in the newly refurbished Dovecot and couldn’t have wished for more! Outstanding location with beautiful scenery and plenty of forest walks on your doorstep! The Dovecote is beautifully decorated and furnished, comfortable sofa and relaxing living space, well equipped kitchen and the most comfortable king bed and wonderful shower room! The private terrace/courtyard garden with lounge seating and outside sauna with shower just tops it off! Would highly recommend the breakfast pack too, all local produce of outstanding quality! Perfect get away for singles or couples and so welcoming for our little dog!! A great find

What an amazing place to switch off from the world. Lorraine has created magic at The Roost! She has anticipated your every want and need. Everything has been thought through to such a high standard. I cannot recommend this place enough. We can't wait to return.
