Orchard Bank Cottage

The Forest of Dean is walking, cycling and horse-riding country, and Orchard Bank Cottage sits on farmland well-positioned to reach it all. Golfing and fishing spots are scattered through the woodland; Gloucester Docks and its Waterways Museum lie within a short drive, as does Cheltenham for shopping and dining. A pub and shop are a mile away. The cottage itself is a single-storey detached building on an organic farm, surrounded by grazing land and crisscrossed by footpaths.

Everything is on one level. A combined living and dining room has a woodburner, Freeview TV and French doors opening onto a patio with garden furniture and barbecue. The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric cooker, dishwasher and fridge included. One double bedroom and a shower room complete the layout. The private hot tub (available by arrangement with the owners) overlooks the garden. Parking for two cars is on site, and the patio is enclosed. Electricity, bed linen and towels are covered in the rental; logs for the woodburner cost £5 per basket. One well-behaved pet stays free. No smoking inside.
