About Ben Nevis Hotel and Leisure Club

The Ben Nevis Hotel sits at Torlundy on the northern edge of Fort William, close to the Nevis Range gondola station and a short drive from the town centre. It is built around a leisure club with a swimming pool, sauna and gym, making it a popular choice for families and for skiers and mountain bikers using Nevis Range through the different seasons.

Rooms are functional rather than characterful, laid out in a modern low-rise wing, with a restaurant serving standard hotel and Scottish menu options and a bar looking out towards the surrounding hills. The leisure facilities are open to residents as part of the room rate, a point of difference from most of the smaller guest houses in the area.

Its position close to Nevis Range and a straightforward drive from central Fort William makes it a practical base for active visitors, particularly those planning several days of mountain biking, skiing or hillwalking rather than exploring on foot from the town centre.

Good, spacious rooms. No elevators. Old style key locks. Didn't get a chance to taste their food, so cannot comment on that. The swimming pool and sauna looked amazing. Ample parking space. Frontdesk staff was very courteous.

One of the best hotels in Ben Nevis. You may get reviews confusing you, but it’s a very reliable place to be. Gives you a heritage vibe. Food is very good esp breakfast. They give you vegan options. Cooperative staff, and also do not miss the Leisure club and swimming pool if you are staying here. The best part was I chose this hotel as a center point from where I moved to ilse of Skye and lochness, Eilean Donan castle ,Inverness

The food and staff were really nice and friendly, and the meals were excellent. There was a beautiful roast dinner available, along with a wide range of options for breakfast. I would say, though, that the condition of the hotel itself wasn't great. Some of the ceiling tiles were damp, broken, or missing. The curtains were falling apart, and the carpets had red stains and missing patches. We had two rooms, but in one of them all of the lamps were missing. Additionally, both rooms had a damp smell that couldn't be aired out. Some ceiling tiles in the gym were missing, and parts of the changing rooms were showing signs of rust and wear. The complimentary laundry service, charged at £15 per bag (with the bag being approximately the size of a standard shopping bag. However, it would have been nice if the laundry had been returned folded rather than simply being stuffed back into the bag. Overall, the facilities were reasonable and functional, but a more attention to maintenance and presentation would significantly improve the guest experience.

The staff at the bar and the food are absolutely amazing! The rooms and hotel generally are very dated but clean. Extremely expensive for what you get. The pool is really nice and the water is nice and warm too. All in one is the staff who deserves the appreciation.
