It’s a nice place yet some lifeguards are acting in a discouraging way. I visited Pollok Swimming Pool today with my daughter. The lifeguard asked her to swim the width of the pool and then return on her back. She completed this, but he still told her she "can't swim" and must stay in the 1-metre area. I fully understand and respect safety rules, but the way it was communicated wasn't very friendly or encouraging. A kinder tone would make a big difference, especially when speaking to children who are trying their best. The pool itself is nice, not too big, water is warm but I hope staff can be more considerate in how they speak to young swimmers.

Came to swim with my two children. The card machine was not working. I was advised by the young man at the desk to wait whilst the manager came to help resolve the issue, being reassured we will definitely be able to come in. Waited 15mins for the manager to arrive (rude lady with red curly hair) to be told there was no way for them to take payment, and to drag my children and our things to the shopping centre and look for a cash machine and come back. Really poor customer service.

This Gym and swimming pool is housed within a building that used to be part of the old Pollok Centre now replaced by Silverbum. A fairly decent facility although I have only used the pool, but the gym looks well appointed. The swimming also has a flume and a wave machine and does swimming lessons.
