My husband and I stayed on 25 May in one of the suites which was Very stylish and elegant. The bed was so plush and comfortable...the best sleep I had in a long time. We have to compliment the restaurant staff - both evening and breakfast. Very friendly, outgoing and so so helpful. 10/10. The chefs provided very tasty meals. Could NOT fault anything. Oh.. housekeeping staff also friendly and down to earth. All in all.. we will be back again and cannot believe its only a 3 star. It ticked every box for us. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

This hotel give us a room above the nightclub where they were having a huge party for several hours, violating all noise laws. As you can see in the photo (sound level meter readings), the decibel levels were completely illegal. General rule: If noise unreasonably interferes with rest and enjoyment of the hotel, it is legally classified as a public nuisance or "statutory nuisance." Nighttime Hours: By law (according to the Antisocial Behavior etc. (Scotland) Act 2004), the maximum permitted nighttime noise level cannot exceed 31 dB. Furthermore, according to Scottish law, the maximum decibel level is 37 dB between 7 pm and 11 pm, and 41 dB during the day. As you can see from the sound level meter, during all the hours we were at the hotel, which were also at night, the decibel levels DOUBLED in our room, averaging 70-78 dB. 78 decibels (dB) far exceeds the legal nighttime limits—which are usually around 25-30 dB inside hotel rooms—constituting a clear violation. It should be noted that although Scotland is strict with noise laws, the party continued from 11 pm until midnight, even though noise is not permitted during those hours. Noise pollution: The hotel is obligated to comply with the maximum permitted decibel levels and avoid causing serious disturbances (known as antisocial behavior) to its guests. The floor of the room shook for hours, and the noise was completely unbearable. In a place we paid to rest, it was torture that also caused us serious anxiety. We never expected to experience a situation like this in a hotel; it was completely outrageous. The hotel prioritized making money from the party and neglected its primary function as a hotel, which is providing guests with rest and sleep. Furthermore, they clearly violate soundproofing regulations for the rooms. If they have a nightclub inside the hotel, the soundproofing should be top-notch to prevent 78dB from reaching the rooms, don't you think? It's outrageous. Hotel standards in the UK require compliance with the Scottish Building Standards regarding sound insulation. Another clear violation by this hotel. Finally, a special mention must be made of the hotel manager's ineptitude. When we went down to reception to complain, he refused to provide us with a complaint form, which is mandatory for any establishment, and refused to offer any kind of solution. He literally said, "There's nothing we can do," and then remained silent, smiling. He didn't even attempt to change our room or offer any compensation, which was unheard of. After complaining to Expedia by phone, they also tried to change our room, but this manager insisted he wouldn't do anything. According to him, there were no rooms available, which I seriously doubt. They gave us the room right above the nightclub, knowing full well about the huge party going on. I also believe the hotel acted in bad faith because the party should have been announced well in advance so we could have canceled our reservation and found another hotel, since the purpose of a hotel is to relax. Finally, despite complaining about this situation through various channels, including Expedia, the hotel has refused to refund the room or offer any compensation whatsoever. If you don't want your trip ruined and to be mistreated as a guest, AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience with the team at the venue, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our wedding. Glen, the General Manager, along with Lisa and Megan, the Operations Managers, were exceptional from the very beginning. Their professionalism, organisation, and attention to detail gave us complete confidence that everything was in safe hands. A very special mention goes to Louize, our wedding coordinator, who was simply outstanding. She supported us every step of the way, making the entire planning process feel easy and enjoyable. On the day itself, she ensured everything ran perfectly behind the scenes, allowing us to relax and fully take in every moment without any stress. The day itself was truly incredible — everything ran so smoothly and exactly as planned. Every detail was taken care of, and the whole team worked seamlessly together to create such a special atmosphere. The food was absolutely fantastic and exceeded all expectations; our guests are still talking about how delicious it was and how well it was presented. The bedrooms were equally stunning — beautifully decorated, comfortable, and the perfect place to unwind after such a memorable day. It really added to the overall experience and made our stay feel even more special. We are so grateful to the entire team for making our wedding day unforgettable. Their dedication, care, and attention to detail made all the difference, and we wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend them to any couple looking for the perfect wedding venue.
