About Premier Inn Glasgow East

With the M74 and M73 close at hand, Premier Inn Glasgow East makes a practical base for exploring the wider city and beyond. Golf and fishing spots are within reach for those wanting to fill a free afternoon, and there are pubs, restaurants and other eateries nearby for evenings when you fancy a change from the hotel restaurant. Horse riding and local entertainment options add a bit more choice if you're staying longer than a night.

The hotel itself has 68 rooms across two floors, each with an en-suite bathroom and drinks available in-room, plus accessible rooms for those who need them. A lift serves all floors, and reception operates around the clock. Beds here are consistently comfortable, and the breakfast is generous and well worth setting an alarm for, though some rooms could do with a bit more upkeep.

There's a restaurant and bar on site for meals without leaving the building, and an electric vehicle charge point alongside free on-site parking, useful given the hotel's position near the motorway network. Staff are attentive and quick to help, which counts for a good deal on a short stopover or a longer city break.

If you're looking for a warm welcome at a budget price point, then look no further. It's the ideal business short stay hotel, especially when events around the city elevate Central hotels out of budget. Outside of the town centre, this hotel offers complimentary parking and is co located with a Wetherspoons, so the meals are expenses friendly. Breakfast is in the hotels own small restaurant and cooked to order which is really nice. I've given 5 stars for location, but that's only form the perspective of it being outside of the centre of Glasgow and not particularly close to the hotel, but is of course relative to where you need to be whilst you're here. I was only a 9 minute drive from work, so it was ideal for me. It's also only a short walk from the train station. The elephant in the room, and the reason I gave it 3 stars, is it's very tired. It needs at least redecorating, a referb would be better. Don't get me wrong, the rooms are large, the bathrooms are spotless clean, as too are the beds. Its not dirty at all, far from it. Its just a little dated, with marks on the walls and furniture. For those in the know, its a transit block! I'd absolutely come back to this Prem Inn, and will, but that's because of the friendliness of the staff. The price point, the Wetherspoons and location to my work helps too. In many respects, it's the perfect business hotel, as well as a stop over if you're heading north.

The hotel seems more like a motel and reception staff the lady was very frivolous. When I asked for some water at breakfast she told me to to go to room and get it. I mean if you can't serve your guest a simple thing as glass of water at breakfast how dare you call that a buffet breakfast. My friend asked for a boiled egg it was so delayed and then the chef wasn't even sorry for it. Very poor service. Good part was just the ambience though wasn't top notch but it's a motel not hotel. They have lot of room for improvement in their behaviour and staffing.

Really nice place to stay that's reasonable and fair, working away from home for 2 weeks and I couldn't really complain where we were staying. Staff were brilliant anything needed they were very quick to be of hand along with also keeping on top of the place, always cleaning and keeping a good representation of the place. Very happy 👍

Hotel is dated, but still clean. Was all i needed. I checked in late, left eairly, no complaints. My key didn't work the first time but the guy on the desk sorted it quickly. He was polite despite it being midnight! Did not get breakfast so can't comment on that.
