Tucked down a Herefordshire country lane near Gorsley, Little Bull Hill occupies a handful of grassy pitches in paddocks beyond a stable yard – a peaceful, pared-back spot that's ideal if you're after seclusion and outdoor adventure. The M50 is close for access, Ross-on-Wye a ten-minute drive, and both the Forest of Dean and Wye Valley lie within easy reach for wild swimming, canoeing, mountain biking and walking. There's bike storage and a wash-down area on site, and owner Emma is happy to point you toward the best routes and trails.

Facilities are simple but well thought through: a kitchen in the stable yard with fridge-freezer, charging sockets and prep space, plus a firepit for each pitch (charcoal and firewood available for a small fee). Hot showers and toilets are on hand, and there's a communal, relaxed feel to the place. Kids can build dens in the woods or help feed the ponies, horses and free-roaming chickens – a gentle taste of smallholding life that makes Little Bull Hill feel less like a campsite and more like a farmyard escape.
