Gosport's waterfront commands views of the Solent, the Isle of Wight and the shipping lanes beyond. Number 1 Admiralty Cottages is one of the town's original Coastguard buildings, dating from 1860, now modernised and run by the owners who live next door. It sleeps four across two bedrooms: a zip-and-link kingsize (which can split into singles) and a double. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower, plus a living room and separate dining room on the ground floor.
The kitchen is equipped for proper cooking—electric oven, gas hob, dishwasher and all the basics. Bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are included. A small enclosed garden with patio and furniture opens from the ground floor, and there is parking for one car. The property does not permit smoking, and is not suitable for children under 10.
The pebble beach is steps away, where you can watch everything from yachts to container ships cross the water. Stokes Bay Golf Club, a 9-hole links course, sits nearby. A short ferry ride reaches Portsmouth, where Gunwharf Quays offers shopping and dining. The New Forest and events across Hampshire and Sussex—including Goodwood—are within reach as day trips.
