About Tides Reach Guest House
Tides Reach sits on the seafront at Mumbles, looking across Swansea Bay from the promenade that runs the whole way round to the city. It has six individually designed rooms, each named after a Gower beach — Three Cliffs Bay, Port Eynon, Caswell Bay, Fall Bay, Rhossili Bay and Oxwich Bay — and the standard is well above what the guest house label usually implies.
Breakfast is freshly cooked and included, there is free WiFi throughout and, unusually for Mumbles, free parking. The owners also run a separate two-bedroom self-catering property, Oyster Cottage, for groups of up to five. The house took Best B&B, Inn and Guest House at the Swansea Bay Tourism Awards in 2024 and holds consistently high guest ratings across the review sites.
Mumbles is the eastern gateway to Gower and the best base if you want restaurants and shops on the doorstep. The pier, Oystermouth Castle, Joe's Ice Cream and Verdi's are all within walking distance, the Cycle Path along the bay starts outside, and Langland and Caswell beaches are a ten-minute drive. Three Cliffs is around twenty-five minutes, Rhossili around fifty.

This was our 3rd visit to our favourite place "Tides Reach" This time we stayed in the Rosilli Room. The room was catered for everything we wanted snd needed and more some. This beautiful Guest house situated on the beach front is Lovingly owned by Elenor and Metin. Their attention to detail, their hosting skills with the nothing is to much trouble attitude completely sums up just how amazing the Hosts are. Breakfast is a feast, all the ingredients are of the highest quality we opted for the full English breakfast it arrives piping hot served on the prettiest willow pattern design crockery. The fruit platter is the sweetest attention to detail the thin skins are peeled off but still encased around the fruits again another perk for the guest's ease of enjoyment. We had a fantastic stay at Tides Reach Guest House! Our room (Room 5) overlooked the sea and was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was amazing - beautifully presented fruit platters followed by cooked breakfasts with tea, coffee, toast and juice. The guest house was able to cater for food intolerances and had great vegan options. Metin gave us lots of recommendations for the local area and was a very warm, welcoming, and friendly host. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a good stay. The guest house is also well placed as a base for exploring nearby beaches and walks. We would highly recommend a visit!

These were the best 4 days I have had in the UK. The owner, Metin, was very kind and hospitable. My sister and I felt right at home. The comfortable and clean rooms gave us peace of mind. Thank you for everything, looking forward to seeing you again.
