About Belton Woods

Belton Woods is a substantial estate-style hotel just outside Grantham, built around extensive Lincolnshire grounds with room enough for 136 guest rooms, meeting spaces and a wedding venue. The scale of the place gives it a country-club feel, with gardens surrounding the main building and free on-site parking for anyone arriving by car.

Rooms are comfortable and well kept, and guests have access to a spa and sauna, an indoor swimming pool, a gym, and air conditioning throughout. The restaurant turns out a strong dinner menu and a generously stocked breakfast buffet, and staff are consistently attentive, though the afternoon tea has been flagged by some as poor value compared with the rest of the food offering.

Golf is a major draw here, with well-maintained courses on site, and Canwick Park Golf Club adds a further option nearby for keen players. Grantham itself lies a short distance away, easily reached for anyone wanting to explore beyond the grounds. Lift access and luggage storage make it a practical base for longer stays or events, with business services and meeting rooms also on hand.

Absolutely fantastic place. Lovely location. Great gym, pool and sauna. Spotlessly clean room. Stacks of choice at the bar, and great tasting food in the restaurant. Hattie looked after us in the restaurant and she does her job impeccably - cheerful, attentive and provides ideal recommendations from the extensive menu. Thoroughly recommended.

The best part of whole visit to the venue was the evening meal, Hattie was extremely pleasant and had a very good understanding of the menu and able to advise where necessary or variants in the menu and where requested make suggestions. Nothing was too much and she patiently provided all her customers with the time they needed. It’s a pity that I can only offer 5 stars here as she deserves more!

My wife and I stayed again for a one night spa break, which I have to say is brilliant value for money. Room/breakfast/spa access/50minute treatment evening meal all in the package price. But the very very best part for me, was an upgrade to a full body massage delivered by one of the most skillful and nice masseuse "Skye". if I never get another massage again, it will not bother me as I have experienced perfection.

Just stayed here and it was a great 3 days away! Golf was amazing on both courses only downside was our final round on Friday was a 5hrs plus so a little too much waiting between holes and shots into greens. Great Hotel, rooms were lovely! Bella looked after us at our evening meals and nothing was a problem, all the staff were very friendly and polite. Only down side was the golfers package we had, we never got told the first afternoon/evening about the 10% off at the bar so cost us easily a round of drinks more in our kitty and the meals don’t come with all the trimmings eg cheese burger and chips only where as the meal on the menu is cheese burger, chips, onion rings and coleslaw! But the food was really nice with no complaints of quality! Our group will definitely return to stay and play again
