Perfect location to break our journey. Just off the A1 but our room at the back, facing fields, was quiet. A spacious, clean room for three (one large bed and two comfortable singles). Bathroom fittings are a bit tired but do the job. There’s a Starbucks a few steps away for breakfast. Friendly staff.

The room was a decent size, but the smell was absolutely awful — really foul and unpleasant. The floor was covered in bugs, there was no air conditioning so the room felt unbearably hot, and the bathroom had an old mug left behind that smelled disgusting. If you do stay here, I’d recommend booking a double-bed room as those are much nicer. On the plus side, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful!

Cheap and cheerfull stay, we were on a long journey so just needed a hotel on the motorway halfway. Easy to get to, room basic but clean. The shower curtain could have done with being changed as it was discoloured around the bottom, also kettle needed descaling, but for what we paid we weren't complaining. Receptionist Shevonne was very pleasant.

4 stars for the rooms because there's no refrigerator to keep proper fresh milk, but they are very generous with the non-dairy creamer so it's not the end of the world. The staff are top notch and clearly the management qualities of our local chief have been instilled in all the staff. Really helpful getting my tools & equipment into my designated room (I'm disabled) and they couldn't have been more helpful. Highly recommended.
